Matthew 26:41 reminds us to pray so that we don’t enter into temptation. In this episode, I share about an incident I once witnessed where a man decided to rob a convenience store, but a last-minute temptation became his downfall.
Filled with insight on the cautions of partaking in what is merely convenient, this quirky episode is a reminder that reaching for what is quick and easy doesn’t usually lead us down the road to happiness.

Things my grandma taught me

Wisdom is defined as the ability to discern, good sense, and accumulated philosophical learning. When I think of wisdom, I can’t help but turn to the Bible, as well as think of people whose wisdom I miss -   like my Dad, my grandma, and others. Some who are still here on this earth, and some are already in heaven.
As I was studying about wisdom this week, I remembered that when my grandma passed away at the age of 99, I wrote some things about her dealing with wisdom and knowledge. In this week’s episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast, which I titled “Things my grandma taught me”, I share some bits of wisdom, common sense, and cautions straight from my grandma and some Biblical perspectives about the world of social media life.

About being a black sheep

In this episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast, we’re discussing black sheep. I recently read a quote I love. It says: “Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior, was the black sheep in his own family, his community, and the church. So don’t fret if you feel the same way, just work to be more like Jesus and see the world through the eyes of a black sheep who now sits in white, at the right hand of the Father. (unknown)
Today, we’re talking about black sheep, the dangers of accepting the world’s view on what one is, and the truth that it doesn’t matter what kind of sheep you are. What matters is if you let Jesus be your Shepherd. He IS the Good Shepherd.

How to answer questions when you don't have all the answers

In days like today, we need to remember that those who want to know more about Jesus might ask questions we don’t readily have the answers to, but that doesn’t mean we should put them off or ignore them. It’s important that we do as 2 Timothy 4:2 says: “be prepared in season and out of season …with great patience and careful instruction.”  As a representative of the Body of Christ, it’s our job to point people to Jesus and set them on the right path. What's a name? (Loving the names of God)

What's in a name? Do you know what your name means? Was it given to you by your parents with purpose and meaning? Or was it given to you as a reminder of someone else dear to them, and in honor of another person? Most people are named after other family members, friends, movie characters, or famous people. Sometimes they are named after people in the Bible.
But what about God? How is God named? What IS His name? And what’s in a name? Is your name, my  name and the names of God that important? I’d say yes. And that’s what we’re talking about in this episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast.
